Taking a swing at Vlog posts this week!
Here is a video of me talking about The Parker Inheritance by Varian Johnson! In this video I talk about the book as a whole and a little bit about how the book is a reflection of Johnson's home.
In this second video, I discuss the multiple culturally diverse topics The Parker Inheritance incorporates.
This video is a reading of the book, Something Happened in Our Town, by Marlanne Celano, Marietta Collens, and Ann Hazzard and illustrated by Jennifer Zivoin. The book talks about police brutality towards black people in a culturally authentic and appropriate way. The authors do this by having the story centered around young children asking their parents about what is happening in the news.
